_HISTORY
39 Emesgate Lane is a private house situated in Silverdale a small village on the northwest coast of England. Formerly the garden consisted of a mown grass, planted borders, native hedgerows and a small crab apple tree (Malus sylvestris). The house itself is a 1960's style bungalow. The house was renovated in 2009 and extended to the west in 2014 taking up a portion of the garden. Te garden was then designed to incorporate a large western red cedar deck, L-shaped pond, reed bed, planted borders, a hedge running the border of Sea buckthorn (Hippophae rhamnoides) and a wildflower meadow, which was seeded in 2015. The meadow was left to establish and flurried in its first year. In September 2016 it was mown to removed excess vegetation and prevent it from becoming over fertile.
